Are you looking for volunteer opportunities in the Houston area this summer where you can be a part of a life changing experience? Camp for All, a summer camp serving children and adults who have special needs, or are suffering from illnesses, is looking for volunteers who will make their camp a great environment for their troop.
The camp began in 1998 and is located in Washington County between Houston and Austin. Camp for All works with other non-profit organizations to provide fun, life-changing experiences for special needs children and adults. Over 8,000 people attend throughout the year, with the majority of them being from the Houston area.
This experience is the first time that many of the campers are surrounded by people who truly understand what they are going through and it is an amazing opportunity as they are comforted, no longer feeling alone. Participants of every age grow in self-confidence and independence while bonding with others who share their challenges, learning new skills, and most importantly having fun!
In addition to the understanding and acceptance from everyone, the camp activities and positive attitudes create an environment unlike any other. They have many volunteers every session who are dedicated to making a difference in their community. The volunteers are the people who make the camp such a special place for the attendees, and they get just as much out of it as the campers. Camp for All is always accepting volunteers to help keep their program amazing, so consider volunteering with Camp for All this summer!
I would like to find out how I can volunteer for this.
