Looking for a way to show love to our troops? Started in 2004, Impact A Hero is one of the largest effective organizations that provides a network of immediate, ongoing emotional and financial support for severely-wounded post 9/11 combat veterans and their families, our heroes.
Their mission is to let our heroes know that every American appreciates their sacrifice. They provide help with everyday living expenses and help with new special needs, such as making their house accommodating for a wheelchair.
The Annual Impact A Hero Weekend brings our heroes and their loved ones together with supporters for a weekend including:
-The 10th Annual Impact a Hero Weekend 5K run, walk, and wheel, which will take place at Reliant Park at 7:30 am on Saturday, May 17th, 2014. There’s certainly something for everyone! The event will include 5 different races, a competitive and timed 5k run, a non competitive 5k run, a 5k wheel, a 2 mile walk, and a 1k run just for kids!
-The 2014 Impact A Hero Diamonds & Denim Hall of Fame Gala is on Sunday, May 18th, 2014 at Reliant Stadium. The cost of the dinner provides funds that will be donated to our heroes and their families. Your time of arrival will depend on your registration.
-And lastly, the 10th Annual Impact A Hero Weekend Golf Tournament on Monday, May 19th, 2014 at Champions Golf Club beginning at 7:30 am. You are encouraged to bring a team of your competitive friends or clients and enjoy fun in the sun as you honor our heroes!
