As the excitement of the World Cup 2014 continues, our Houston Dynamos are asking for your support as a fan and to help them give back.
For its sixth year, the Houston Dynamo has invited an international soccer team to the BBVA Compass Dynamo Stadium to compete in the Dynamo Charities Cup, a match in which a portion of the ticket proceeds go to the designated charity organization for that year. This year the Dynamo welcomes the English Premier Team Aston Villa! Best of all, the money raised will go to Building a Better Houston, an initiative being taken by the Dynamo’s that’s dedicated to improving Houston’s East End, including providing scholarships to high school students, home renovations and funds to other educational programs.
Previous international opponents for the Charities Cup include: Stoke City FC (England), Valencia CF (Spain), Bolton Wanderers (England), Club Deportivo Aguila (El Salvador) and CF Monterrey (Mexico). So root on your Dynamo’s Saturday, July 26th, while helping to better our city!
