Giving back doesn’t always require donating money; donating a valuable skill and your time are also wonderful way to help. GiveCamp Houston is a 3 day weekend event where database administrators, designers, and software developers can donate their time to create custom software for non-profit organizations.
Software options can be giving an organization a new website, creating software to help keep track of their members or even an application that automatically emails blood donors three months after they’ve donated that their eligible to donate again. As long as the project can be completed within a weekend, all ideas are welcome to help non-profit organizations be more effective.
